I am really excited to have this opportunity, so let me share with you some things that will help us prepare for our upcoming session together.
The number one thing for me is connection, moments, and story-telling!
Be prepared for snuggles, laughs and memory-making!
YOUR SESSION
It's important that I spend a little bit of time introducing myself and getting to know you and your family, to help everyone feel relaxed, comfortable and have some fun!
I'm not a big fan of posing, but I will gently prompt you at times as I look for the best light and flattering composition as we spend this time together.
LIGHT
If we spend time indoors I will be on the hunt for bright spaces close to a window with all that gorgeous natural light coming in - this will provide the best exposure for your photographs. Time spent at home is relaxed and stress-free, I just ask that you have a little tidy and put away any surplus things that you might find distracting when you look back at your photos.
If our session together is outdoors, we will either have it early in the morning or as close to Golden Hour as possible. In the Winter this is around 4pm, and in the Summer it's after dinner. The reason for this is that the light from the sun is much more gentle when we avoid the middle of the day.
I love to find new spaces and places to adventure and memory-make in. Whether we visit your favourite beach, waterfall, forest or enjoy a picnic in your own garden, I want you to feel as comfortable as possible having your photos taken!
LITTLE DETAILS
Our time together is entirely baby-led. With little ones/newborns, I want to be as unobtrusive, discreet and gentle as possible. I won't handle your bubba, and I will suggest different postures to help create the best composition. I will be trying to capture all the little details of your new little bundle - fingers, toes, yawns, cuddles with family members, etc.
MATERNITY
I absolutely love capturing Motherhood and those beautiful post-partum bodies, so breastfeeding, stretchmarks and all that mummy goodness is totally on the cards if you're keen! Celebrating the achievement of what you've just done is so incredibly precious,
and these little details are often not caught on camera.
NEWBORN
WHAT TO WEAR
LOCATION MATTERS ·
Where we have our session and the colours of the scene we're in have the power to make a good photograph even better. For this reason, I recommend that if we're in nature, we try to wear warm colours that compliment the scene:
Whites, creams, tans, browns, greens, burnt oranges, pale pastels and blushes. Earthy or neutral tones instead of matching colours. Try and avoid distracting patterns, logos or branding.
A mixture of fabrics and textures always looks beautiful, especially wools and knits in winter.
LADIES ·
Floral patterns and flowing dresses always look gorgeous, but so does a cable-knit jumper and comfy trousers! You can never go wrong with neutral complimenting tones of pastels, blushes, or warm earthy hues.
Please don't feel like you have to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable in what you're wearing!
If you're breastfeeding little one or pregnant, flowing dresses look great, can be practical for feeding, and baby bumps look radiant in loose-fitting clothes, especially at Golden Hour.
The key is not to have too many bold colours and patterns clashing, but if Mumma sets the theme, then everyone else can work off her colour pallet.
GIRLS ·
Flowing dresses in the summer (great for spinning shots), cardies, knits, wooly hats in the winter.

AFTER YOUR SESSION
I'll endeavour to send you a few sneak-peak images within a week after your session*.
Two to four weeks after your session, I will upload your gallery for viewing, and you will be invited to 'love heart' your favourites for your package. Once you've chosen your best moments, I'll get to work on the edits - this will take a further 2-4 weeks, and then I'll be in touch with your gallery viewing link.
At this point, I will get your selected images(s) sent to the printer for framing, and shortly after, will be at your door, all ready for hanging and admiring!
Please allow 4-6 weeks to professionally re-touch your gallery. If you require the images sooner than 4 weeks, please let me know and I will try my best to meet your time needs.

Let's face it, life is busy and we have all the best intentions in the world to get those beautiful photos printed and framed, but sometimes the task falls amongst the pile of to-do's for 'tomorrow', tomorrow never comes, and your photos are still sitting on the computer! I'm a stay-at-home Mama with 3 kids during the week - I get it, I hear ya!

If you need to cancel your booking, refunds cannot be given.

In the event that either of us is unable to come on the arranged day/time (sick kids, bad weather, etc), you are welcome to choose another weekend slot which is available.

If you choose to go ahead with the photoshoot in doubtful circumstances then no refund can be given and a reshoot will incur the full session cost.

*If you do NOT wish for me to use your images in my portfolio or social media,
please make this explicit in writing prior to your photoshoot.
